I’ve worked for eight years in software development and IT, at small businesses and large, both in and out of the tech industry. I’ve been the “IT guy” for a national advertising company, and I’ve been a software engineer at a Silicon Valley startup, working in the depths of the technology that powers the Web. I’ve also helped start and run an online non-profit.
I’m confident that I can meet any web-related challenge that a small or medium-sized organization might face — either on my own or with the help of a good specialist.
A good designer is indispensable to a successful web site. Building a web site without a designer would be like building a house without an architect: You might pull it off, but you probably wouldn’t be thrilled with the results.
But I’m a web developer, not a designer. I’m a programmer and a systems administrator: in short, a geek. Though I aspire to it, I can’t yet claim design expertise.
So, just as a building contractor works with an architect to build a house, I work with designers to move from your initial concept to a running, well-managed web site.
If you haven’t already engaged a designer for your project, I can find you one. I’m in regular contact with several independent designers, whose experience ranges from art and academics to commerce and the public sector. For larger projects I can also help you choose a good design agency.
Once you have a design in hand, I can do the rest — which is quite a bit more, as you can see from the list on the side there.
I’d love to hear from you. Call, chat, tweet, or send me an email: all I need is a bit of detail about the project you have in mind, and a good way to reach you.
